Ellie’s Adventure (Day 3)

The original was a 16X20 black and white line drawing. In PS I did it up in a variety of ways. Some of which can be found here at Candee Artworks.

The original was a 16X20 line drawing in black ink. Now I can drop it into PS and do it up in endless variations, some of which can be found right here at Candee Artworks.

Many sizes available

Man in Chair

This began as an abtract painting. The man in the chair was pulled from a vintage mag. and it was all done up in Photoshop.

The original was a 10″X10″ abstract painting. I pulled an image from a vintage magazine and modged it into the picture. It was Photoshopped, expanded to 24″ X 24,” reshaped and effected. It’s a splash of color. It’s a conversation piece. It’s “Man In Chair!”

Rockers

An altered original painting. I replaced the background in PS and rocked up the colors.

I’ve been into music, music videos etc. that is very influential on my work. I still own this original painting. Watch for it here on Candee Artworks.

On a Higher Plane

In honor of all creative peoples who vibrate on a higher plain. You know who you are.

Cops & idiots

To honor our best in blue. This began as a small abstract painting. The image I found in a vintage rag and it modged in.

To honor our men in blue. The original was a nice 12″ x 12″ collage on wood. I painted the background and found these wonderful cop figures in an old LIFE magazine.

Art is the perfect gift

The Runner

An abstarct painting I did around 2009. Here it’s been digiti-zazzled. A great splash of color in any room.

I see motion. I see running. I see action.  Photoshop is a truly fantastic tool for taking artistic possibilities in so many directions.

Birds at Night

This too began as a an abstract painting. I’m endlessly amazing on how photoshop has changed art. So fun. Endless creativity.

This started as a 2’X2′ painting. I took it into Photoshop and pushed shapes and colors around and came up with this really fun abstract. The whole thing reminds me of Alfred Hitchcock.

A Tree for Sid

For Sid Barrett, founding member of Pink Floyd.

The original artwork is a 4′ X 2′ acrylic painting on board . It’s dedicated to Pink Floyd founder Sid Barrett.

Toxic Rain

The original painting sold out of a Cafe in N. Hollywood called The Steampunk Cafe

A take on the problems of air quality. Originally a collage, it was dropped into photoshop and combined with a painting I’d done years ago. So great how old can be made new .

I’ve got yours

The original work was an abstract piece. Pics were cut from vintage mags and layered in and it’s touched up in Photoshop.

This all started as 12″ X 12″ collage. I brought it into Photoshop and added the abstract fruit in the background, intensified the colors and added a few effects. The woman here was cut from a vintage cigarette ad.

Ellie’s Adventure (Day 7)

Tons of fun! The original was a 16″X20″ line drawing done in black ink. I dropped it into photoshop where I can now dress it up any way I want.

Plenty of sizes to choose from

Air

The original 20X20 painting of this sold quickly. This is an altered version I did up in Photoshop.

The original is actually a 2′ X 3′ painting I did especially for the Steampunk Cafe in Sherman Oaks, CA. The painting is full color and features a lot of gold and brass colors. I’ve since dragged it into Photoshop and not only turned a large bit of it into black and white but also changed the shape and made it this 24″ X 24″ size. The work is about the feeling of being “so close but yet so far.”

Dave & Duke

This is an abstract of Jazz great Duke Ellington reflecting in Dave Brubeck’s glasses.

This is an abstracted TIME magazine that featured Dave Brubeck. I added Duke Ellington as reflections in Dave’s glasses. Ellington was a big influence on Brubeck.

Mushroom Head

A drawing I dropped into Photoshop and added effects. PS has endless possiblities!

I’ve been into fantasy art since I can remember. Even as a kid I’d color in different colors just to twist reality and make it my own. The original of this was only 12″X12.” it was photographed and doctored. Just Imagine, long days of cruising the pond. Birds and insects nibbling at your head.
